Beware of UCSF Benioff Children's! We went to USCF Children's in Shadelands for a minor finger fracture bringing our x-rays with us and a diagnosis from a radiologist.The orthopedic specilalist we saw said he didn't see a fracture but he did a number of xrays just to confirm. No fracture. Shortly after we got a bill for close to $1,000 for the visit. Then MONTHS LATER we got another bill for $867 for the same visit because we were a new patient. We had been to UCSF Benioff with my other child and there wasn't that fee. They were not upfront that there would be a $867 new patient fee when we made the appointment. If you ever need to get lab work done for your little one, Connie is the best! My child has gotten blood work done many times and usually she cries. This time she was so quiet and just sitting there patiently. Connie even sang her favorite baby shark song. If Connie is reading this , you are the best!!!
Be aware of the crazy CHARGES. The visit with a specialist starts at $500 and it doesn't matter how much the doctor spends with you. We got billed $513 (after only a $62 discount by our insurance!). Stay away. There are other doctors out there.
