I wanted my blood checked for different types of anemia five years ago when I was running cross country seriously. I was on a vegetarian diet and felt far more sluggish than usual. She tested my ferritin red blood cell count and other tests like iron and hcb. I could tell in her office that she didn’t believe my nescessity for the test. After taking the test she emailed me saying that my blood is completely fine and even said “you probably just need to workout more”. Little ridiculous when at the time I was a varsity athlete running 60 miles a week.I didn’t look at the test results because she seemed pretty certain that I was fine.
