I'm pretty disappointed with my experience here. I came to the owner because my birthday was a day after my appointment (and she knew this) so I wanted to make sure my hair looked perfect. This was my second time coming for a sew in and the first was okay. It lasted and none of my tracks came out. It was in for 3 months so I knew I would have a bit of shedding but I was absolutely taking good care of my hair. I washed my hair and braids and made sure to dry my braids underneath. However I ended up experiencing A LOT of shedding like clumps of my hair fell out and I have a feeling it was because my braids were far too tight. The braids were so tight they gave me a breakout of small tiny itchy bumps around the entire perimeter of my scalp. I am aware that your hair sheds between 50-100 strands a day but when I brought the shedding up to the stylist she claims your hair sheds 1,000 strands a day and at that point I just acted dumb because I knew that was inaccurate but I wanted to just push through the appointment. I will say the shop is very run down and the floor boards were missing. At the end of the day I wasn't happy with the install due to so much of the tracks showing as she did not leave out enough hair to cover and I mentioned this as well as provided photos. She basically said tough luck and wasn't willing to fix it or discount me. I ended up taking the install out the same day because it looked so bad. I also asked her to put no product in my hair and right at the end she sprayed TF out of my hair with oil sheen. I was so pissed. This happened last year but for some reason my review never posted. Anyway I don't recommend this stylist.

Daria gon slay my hair every time. I'm new to wearing my hair straightened so when she was referred to me by my friend who also used to wear her hair natural before locking her hair, I knew I was in good hands. I first started coming to Daria in August. I wanted to have a silk press and hadn't had one in about two years. She got my hair very silky and gave me a much needed trim. Fast forward to three weeks later and I got my hair silk pressed again. I go every three weeks if I am going to do it because of her recommendation and I don't think I should go any sooner. When my hair is shampooed it kinks and coils right back up, so her recommendation along with me following it are achieving the wanted result. I've come to her for a shampoo, aloe very treatment and blow dry appointment before getting my hair braided by my braided. I also got a trim them. My hair is healthy and looks and feels it. Now that it's fall and I've wanted a break from spending hours and hours on my hair, I decided to switch it up and get extensions. She did a great job with everything. I recently went in for my extension maintenance appointment and I just felt pampered. I have not styled my own hair in months. I have a lot of hair so it has been such a blessing for me to find someone who works with my hair type and does it very well. The vibe in here is cool, too. I talk, I read my book, I get a break from doing my hair. Can't ask for more.

I hate leaving bad reviews anywhere, especially since this is my third time coming to this salon and my previous two experiences were good. This most recent one has been anything but a good experience... unfortunately the only good to come out of this experience was that at least my hair got done. This is my second time coming to this specific stylist and I won't name names for legal reasons and to protect her identity. This was my first time getting a curly sew in done by her, since previously she had done straight hair on me. With curly hair it's a little more work since you have to blend the natural hair with the texture of the curly extensions. I knew this and so I wanted to make sure that the hair came out to my liking. As she was combing through the curly extensions I asked her if she was going to wet the hair or put product in it, as I noticed that when I wet the hair and add product the curls blend a lot better with my hair. She cuts me off and tells me "I am not done yet, once I get to that part, I'm going to wet it" in a tone that wasn't so nice. I brushed it off .... I later asked if I could look in the mirror to see how the curls look and she says to me, "Do you want to style your hair yourself? Because you're stopping me like you want to do it yourself" this caught me off guard because this time it was clearly a snappy response and very mean in tone. I responded that I simply just wanted to see how it's looking so far thats all. Then she replies "Okay, don't stop me again" and at that moment I realized my hair salon experience was completely ruined. Her attitude and professionalism is something that definitely needs to be worked on. I am a very sensitive person and moments like this ultimately end up ruining my whole experience. If someone is coming to you for a service and they have a few questions, it should come as second nature to be able to answer simple questions or explain in a nice manner how you will do a procedure. At this point my anxiety was pretty bad because I don't like confrontation but felt like it would be the right thing to let her know that her response and demeanor was not right. I let her know and she expressed that she wasn't trying to be "mean", and that according to her, I was asking a lot of questions and stopping her.She also stated that she felt that I didn't trust her with my hair which is such an odd thing to assume or even say to a client. I responded that I had only asked to see my hair once, and she was quiet the rest of the time. Once it was time to pay she was clearly bothered and not wanting to talk much. The whole vibe was off and it's such a shame because this could've been completely different had she been professional. After the appointment she rushed out of the door without making eye contact.... This has been the most bizarre hair experience ever... I won't be be back since I am moving, but even if I were to stay in the area, this experience alone was enough to make me not want to come back. I hope that she can take constructive criticism if she reads this and good luck to her future clients, hopefully they get her when she's more respectful....
