I had to follow up on progress of my 2020 return. Jerry had simply forgotten to call back regarding a question he had which tells me he's too busy. After submitting the "completed" tax return to the IRS, I received the full copy of my return and noticed a huge mistake he had made. He never called to ask for clarification on taxable vs taxable income. This resulted in a tax on non-taxable income, PLUS, he tacked on a 20% penalty for me. If he wasn't sure, he should have called. But he guessed and guessed wrong. If I had not caught the mistake, it would have cost me over $8,000 between Feds and State. He was "kind enough" to do the amendment at no charge.
