“We recently purchased a home in Thousand Oaks and wanted a custom, built-in cabinet/bookcase for our living room to display books, family pictures and decorative items. Using Yelp as a guide, I contacted 6 local, custom cabinet makers to bid on the job. Five of them asked me to send pictures and dimensions of the space and told me they couldn't come out to see the job but would instead send an estimate with diagram if I provided measurements of the space. One company made an appointment to visit my home and discuss the project in person.
