Our HOA has had the best luck with this company vs a few others when American was not available. Andy is professional, knowledgeable, and deserving of 5 stars. Front office staff is also professional and responsive. We will use them exclusively if we can.
Upon the recommendation of a plumber, I hired American Leak Detection to find the source of my gas leak. I explained the urgency of the situation, and the office manager was willing to squeeze me into the schedule sooner. Andy with American leak detection arrived on a Monday morning to evaluate the gas pipes. He found where the highest concentration of gas was located, but unfortunately, given the fact that the pipes are submerged in concrete, I needed to arrange to have another gas pipe installed. Here is what I appreciate about this company: (1) they were very honest about their prices, which included the price of the helium used to detect the leak (total $680- $300 of which was for the helium) [other companies left the helium or hydrogen combination off of their estimates], 2) the evaluation was completed in a timely manner- Andy arrived as scheduled and was thorough in his evaluation. While the service was an unfortunate necessity, I appreciated the comprehensive evaluation- particularly the photos included in the assessment and the use of spray paint to identify gas entry points.
INITIAL SET UP I thought I'd have to wait a while before they came to my house, but to my great surprise, they were able to come out within 2 days. They got here on time. No kidding! THE DETECTION They got the detection done quickly and amazingly accurately - found a leak, under concrete, in my irrigation system. I stressed out because now I had to find a plumber that I could trust. THE FIX Very fortunately, for my peace of mind, they have a plumber that fixed the leak quickly and did a great job. Cleaned up, Can't really ask for much more. The plumber actually called me on the second day to let me know he'd be a little late due to traffic. That is a rare thing for a contractor to do. Very considerate and impressive. PRICING The initial detection price is VERY reasonable and as I said above, accurate. The repair cost was reasonable as well. They gave me a range on the leak repair, because you never know what you'll find right? So they charged me the low end of the estimate. Again, rare right? OFFICE MANAGER Also, I called and spoke to their office manager and she was SO VERY COMPETENT. I barely had to ask her any questions, because she answered all of my concerns. Loved it. NO DOUBTS I hope I never have another leak, but if I do, there is no doubt that I will call American Leak Detection. THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS - PEACE OF MIND If you call anyone else, you will say to yourself, I shoulda called American Leak Detection because of that review.
