The facility is clean and well-maintained, providing a great and safe environment for learning. Members appreciate the friendly and caring leadership, who are genuinely invested in everyone's well-being and progress. The community is described as the best group of people, dedicated to supporting each other and progressing together. Coach Jose, who teaches the fundamentals class, is so friendly. Newcomers find a real sense of community and a fun supportive environment. It is an amazing place to train and study Jiu Jitsu, and is recommended to anyone looking to learn BJJ.
I can’t speak highly enough about 10th Planet Van Nuys. Top notch training experience, beginner friendly, family owned and they make every member feel like family too, and the staff is super professional. I developed my jiu jitsu skills here. Great Gym with EVEN BETTER people! Coach Alder is LEGIT.
Come train at a legit gym, people will say negative things about a gym they’ve either never engrained themselves into or never stepped foot inside or (1) bad interaction. Either way, everyone here has always been supportive and always willing to help, from staff to teammates alike. I drive basically to the other side of the valley to take classes. THAT’S HOW GOOD THIS GYM IS. I wish I would’ve found it YEARS AGO. Don’t miss out!

If you’re trying to get in shape, they got you covered. Want to get into jiu jitsu/Muay Thai/wrestling, they got you covered. Stressed and depressed, they got you covered AND you’ll be walking out feeling brand new after 1 class. Great environment and really awesome people.
