“I had been looking for a true cutting specialist ever since moving from Texas to California, and I’m so grateful I found Heidi. She is incredible and genuinely the best person I’ve ever had cut my hair. She’s extremely knowledgeable, calm, patient, and really takes the time to listen. She asks questions throughout the process to make sure she understands exactly what you want and what will work best for your hair, and she always gives such valuable tips and recommendations.

She also has a lot of experience with men’s cuts, so I started bringing my husband to her as well. At the time, he was dealing with a lot of irritation and a rash-like condition across his scalp. Heidi was so thoughtful and careful with him. She explained that she didn’t want to use the clippers too close and risk irritating his scalp even more, so she did his entire haircut with scissors instead. It looked amazing. She also recommended some shampoos and other things that could help, and the condition of his scalp has improved so much since then. She’s now able to use clippers on him again and continues to do an exceptional job with both of our haircuts.

Since I started going to Heidi, I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had this many people comment on my haircut before! You can tell how much experience and knowledge she has, but what makes her even more special is how much she genuinely cares. She goes above and beyond and treats your hair with the same attention and care you would expect if it were her own.

“Tina is the best!!!! I recently got a botched haircut that was uneven and choppy so I went to a hair salon my friend just went because hers came out really good. It’s tucked away but also in front of a bakery called Cream Pan where I saw a giant line. Tina was my stylist and after telling her about my uneven bob of a mess, she washed my hair and I showed her an inspo pic of like a 90s bob hair style. The focus and precision of this woman was amazing 😭 They're all Viet ladies so she was brutally honest about everything (which I prefer) like how uneven my hair was haha. She made sure the hair was even and also that it was even in my eyes too. After the blowout my hair looked exactly like the inspo pic I showed her and bruh I was literally so ecstatic bc she fixed my hair.
My haircut came out to $45 (might vary with length), and with the attention to detail she provided, I knew I'd be returning (compared to the same effort at a place in Irvine that cost around $80/ish). “Michelene is phenomenal. I’ve always had natural hair, but could never find someone in OC who could do it properly (I.e., gently, neatly, with care, and without blow dry heat). It went to Michelene on a Friday exhausted from the thought of even doing my typical wash day routine and I left refreshed with a clean and moisturized scalp and the neatest, juiciest flat twists ever done on my hair. Michelene used great products and the care she poured into my hair and scalp reminded me of how my mom used to care for my hair; I started texting friends and family about how good it felt. When Michelene flat twisted my hair I was so happy she didn’t blow dry it (so many new stylists who claim they can do natural hair can't manage natural hair when it's wet) and instead set me under the dryer to set my hair. We had a conversation about how I was nervous to change my hair and how I need a trim and Michelene told me anything I needed or wanted to try with her she would do. Her service was great and her personality is wonderful. I will definitely be going back. On top of being a great stylist, Michelene made me feel so comfortable in her chair and her pricing very pleasantly surprised me. Note: I went for flat twists, but Michelene also does silk presses, box braids, loc retwists, and more, AND I can say with confidence of being in OC for half a decade that Michelene is rare because she can do ALL types of hair beautifully.“
