I am in my late 60's and am fortunate that I do not have any major health issues apart from high cholesterol. Despite being very active and eating a healthy well balanced diet my weight had become a major concern. I felt my metabolism had slowed, I felt out of sorts and that my body was out of sync. A friend had success with GLP-1 and recommended it. I consider myself fortunate to have found Dr. Nelson. During my first consultation he took the time to listen to me, my concerns and explain the process and the benefits of GLP-1. After six weeks of weekly injections I have lost 15 lbs., I have more energy and above all I feel really well! I feel my body is in tune again! Dr Nelson is the rudest and most unprofessional doctor I have ever had. I was a patient at Skinetics in Orange for several years and we discussed Ozempic at my last appointment and he said he administers Semaglutide for weight loss from his Torrance office. We agreed that he would send me a 3 months supply. On 6/26/24 I received a small package with 10 empty syringes and a melted ice pack with no Semaglutide or instructions. I assumed that the syringes were prefilled and after the 2nd week I realized the syringes were empty and I had injected air into myself on the 1st week. On 7/8/24 I called and emailed Dr Nelson and received no response. After my 3rd called to Dr Nelson's offices he was enraged and abruptly answered the phone and told me to stop calling his office and that I was disrupting his staff. He said that he would call me back when he can and if I called one more time he would send me my chart back and ban me from his offices. I told him I just wanted to know if he would be reshipping the semaglutide as I had paid $1100. He told me it wasn't his fault that I lost the vial. I told him I did not lose the vial, that it was not in the package and that if it was a problem I could dispute the credit card charge and he replied "Go ahead, I dare you", so I did.

I've been coming to Dr. Nelson for a while and in my last two visits he was over 30 minutes late to my appointment that I had to leave. When it happened the first time I thought it was a one- off but twice is just a sign of disrespect. I was in the adjacent room and I could hear him socializing with the other patient while I waited. There was no follow up or apology for his behavior.

Dr Nelson is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. He genuinely cares about all his patients and is very thorough and thoughtful. I recently moved from Corona Del Mar to the So Bay. I have had the BEST experience multiple times here at The Aesthetic Center. The location is great and located in such a charming courtyard. The moment I entered the facility, I was warmly greeted by the staff, welcoming me in and even knowing my name as this had not been my first time. Their professionalism has been the highest standard I could possibIy want from my doctor and his staff! Dr. Nelson is amazing! I originally went to this office because I had heard the aesthetics were amazing, but now I have transitioned to having him as my primary doctor. I'm SO HAPPY to have found this office. Dr. Cary Nelson is amazing, great bedside manner, knowledgeable and does his research to resolve your medical issues. The Aesthetic Center is beautiful and the staff is so warm and as a patient you feel very comfortable the minute you enter the office. I highly recommend and their reputation is fantastic. I have been going to Dr. Nelson for many years I trust him and have referred many individuals who have become his ongoing patients.
