Good luck getting your phone call answered. I have held up to 1 hour, 17 minutes. Finally got through on April 4th and cannot see a doctor until late September.

Actually, this is one of the best medical groups in Los Angeles, In terms, of the quality of care given I must rate them ten stars. This medical group is better than Kaiser Permanents in terms of medical care and service. My NP H.Lee sent out for testing and found out I had a kidney stone. The following day she sent me to get a Cat scan than scheduled to have it removed within a week. When you schedule an appointment. You do not have to wait countless hours. All appointments schedule the patient is seen on time. Oh, the new name is Providence Axminister Group. I would not choose any other group but this one.

Had an awful experience with Axminster Medical Group customer service so of course when I googled them I was not surprised to see many similar reviews. It took 2 weeks to get an approved authorization when it should have taken a couple of days max. THEN once i got my approval I contacted the approved doctor to schedule an appointment and I was told that they don't accept this insurance and medical group. So i called Axminster back and let them know what I had been told. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude. She didn't seem interested in even giving me the time of day or figuring out why I got an approval to a doctor who doesn't accept my insurance. Instead she put me on hold for 14 minutes while she submitted a request to modify the provider. And then when she got back on the phone she hung up on me in the middle of my asking her a question. I mean, who does that? I work in healthcare. I know how patients should be treated. And this is absolutely not it. If you are working in this industry please have some compassion for others. People who you talk to are sick, they are vulnerable, and they are trying to navigate a complicated healthcare system. Why are you making it harder? I just don't understand. While my referral wasn't urgent, i can't imagine how they treat people who have life threatening ailments if this is how I was treated. What an awful experience. Please take the time to teach your customer service employees how to talk to people.

Great doctors, love dr tsai and dr hamilton, but some of the girls/medical assistants there have a huuge attitude problem.

August 31, I will never forget. I was laying on the gurney ready to be wheeled in for my endoscopy and colonoscopy only to find out that this f'ing medical group had denied anesthesia wrongly that my doctor has ordered...now you tell me who is treating me the doctor or the damn medical group? These unconscionable actions by these buffoon medical groups are causing so much harm to people today with not a care in the world while they are making billions of dollars for their crooked bosses the crooked health insurance companies. Needless to say I had a melt down that morning and felt my blood pressure probably going up to 200! I had to sign a document that stated I would be charged $350 if the insurance was denied again...so outrageous for a procedure that was wrongly denied in the first place. Who in their right mind would want an instrument stuck down their throat and up their but awake...yikes...criminal! I had to then get further stressed out and write a very nasty letter to UHC to their executive offices, which should have never come to this. It did get reversed after much ado and much stress on my heart, and after all this, I ended up getting another bill for five times the original amount...our health care system is so damn broken today with no end in sight, and causes great harm to the receiving end...stay away from these crooks!

If it wasn't for doctor Jennifer Chu, I'd still be living life in pain and not knowing I have cancer. I am so thankful I was able to find such a caring and compassionate doctor!! I cannot speak more highly of her. If she was 3 hours away, I would still make the drive to her. Even in LA traffic!!! Finding a good doctor who cares like she does is worth it! I need to sing her praises anywhere and everywhere. I LOVE DOCTOR CHU FOR SAVING MY LIFE!!! Since about a month before I gave birth I had this crippling pelvic pain. It was excruciating and consistant. It felt like a bone was being bent trying to break. I could barely lift my left leg, I had trouble getting up to pee, I couldn't walk, I couldn't roll over...it was hella bad. I went to labor and delivery multiple times but they thought that maybe my baby's head was on a nerve and that it should go away after birth. Well, I gave birth and had to switch doctors bc of new insurance. I went to a local PCP to try to address the pain. He sent me to a horrible OB who said she saw 2 vericose veins on my vagina. The PCP dismissed my pain and told me that no insurance would ever cover it because vericose vein removal is cosmetic. I tried to argue and he turned me down each time and said he would help me cope with the pain. I obviously ditched that PCP and someone reccomend Dr. Chu. Even though I live in Monterey Park I so desperately wanted a doctor that cared. I was willing to drive to Torrance to find one! Dr. Chu didn't see any vericose veins but believed me and was very concerned with my pain so she got me to a physical therapist and a vein doctor. I went to the vein doctor and he got me an MRI done. He was shocked to find that I have multiple enlarged lymph nodes in my pelvis and groin. We did a biopsy and they found cancer. My oncologist is sure that this is what is causing my pain. I was living with this pain for over 7 months when I found Dr. Chu. 8 months they found cancer and now I just hit 9 months and getting the treatment I need. All it takes is for one doctor to be compassionate and caring for you to get the help you need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to me, caring and believing me about my pain even though there was no evidence of pain. Matter of fact, click my name. This review is for Dr. Mia Sanders Madati, who delivered my daughter at Little Company of Mary in Torrance. She was slow to come to my bedside to check my cervix during various points while I was in labor. She would tell me that she would come at 11pm, but wouldn't come until closer to 11:45. Once the baby started crowning, the nurse who was helping me to push literally had to tell me to hold the baby, while we waited 10 minutes for her to arrive to my bedside. As any woman who has every had to deliver a baby vaginally, every minute feels like eternity. Then when the baby came, instead of putting the baby immediately on me, she took her sweet little time cleaning off the baby's face and body, when all I wanted was the baby to be on me. I had no problem with the office visits I had as part of the prenatal care I received, and obviously you don't have a choice of who delivers you, since the group takes call for each other (unless you have a C-section), but if I could do it again, I wish I could have had someone else deliver my baby besides Dr. Sanders Madati.

This review is for the OBGYN department - I'm not sure where these other bad reviews come from... I consider myself really harsh and judgmental with drs - especially OB's! This place so far has treated me SO well. I absolutely ADORE Dr. Cindy Tsai - she is the most wonderful human being, she has the best personality and she is genuinely interested and concerned with everything you want to discuss during your appointments. I message her via my providence app and within hours she will respond, and not just simple responses, but thought out thorough responses. For example, I wanted an alternative drink to the blood glucose test (not their poison filled "orange drink") and asked her if I could bring my own orange juice, not only did she respond within an hour and say that was ok (as long as it was at or above 50 grams of glucose), she provided options. I have never waited longer than 20 mins after my appointment time... the rooms are always clean, nurses are always pleasant. All around amazing OBGYN set up.
