I've since learned that the condition she suggested is one that can take multiple years for people to get diagnosed because so few medical practitioners are very familiar with it and the symptoms can be confusing. Thanks to Erin, I was able to flag this for the specialists and get my diagnosis much more quickly than may have otherwise been possible.
