About South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is a beautiful facility with spacious rooms and a lovely vineyard setting. The resort offers a fun wine tasting experience and has some interesting packages available. While some guests have reported issues with the food and cleanliness, others have enjoyed the expanded menu and excellent food at the restaurant. The staff can be hit or miss, with some being friendly and professional, while others are less helpful. Despite some inconsistencies, the resort has made efforts to improve, such as adding a full bar to the menu. The restaurant features a variety of dishes, including the popular chicken, salmon, steak, and a prime rib upgrade. Guests have praised the food, noting it is good and often enjoyed during special occasions like weddings. The wine tasting room is staffed with amazing personnel, and the drinks are highly recommended, especially the blue cheese stuffed olives for martinis and signature cocktails like blueberry margaritas. The venue is stunning at any time of day, with beautiful views and a charming atmosphere enhanced by string lights at night. The on-site accommodations, including villa rooms, are spacious and comfortable, though some guests experienced issues with the AC. The staff, including the event coordinator, are generally friendly and helpful, making stays and events more enjoyable. Overall, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is a great place to relax and celebrate, with some areas for improvement but a consistently high-quality experience.
Went to buy some bottles and have a little wine tasting at the time. Jason helped me out select some bottles. Very polite and friendly along with the rest of the staff. Highly recommend this Winery! A must stop lots to explore. They have a great place to stay and also a great food menu at the restaurant too!
I had a priceless experience with South Coast Winery. I worked with their staff months in advance as I planned to propose to my girlfriend.
The team was knowledgeable, friendly, and went the extra mile to make the arrangements perfect on my behalf. We enjoyed the mountain view suite which had an incredible view, privacy, amazing bathroom with dual showerheads, and it was clean. We also utilized the horse-drawn carriage package where we were taken to a private outdoor space to enjoy wine and charcuterie.
My girlfriend was with me at the front-desk when we checked in, but the reception staff was discreet and gave away no part of the surprise.

The resort is a little outdated, but the rooms are clean and very spacious. It has everything you would need. The location is superb. We were within a 10 minute drive to every winery we went to. Don't skip on the wine here though, it was very good!
