All I wanted to do was schedule an appointment to see a doctor. And this was my experience: At 9:30am, called the doctor's office (747) 210-4301 + * Press 4 (primary care) + * Press 5 (scheduling) + * Press 1 (for English) + * Press 3 (to schedule or reschedule) + * Press 1 (primary care) * On hold * On hold * On hold * On hold * After 12 min of holding, I received a high pitched tone that hurt my ears * So I hung up Dialed again * Press 4 (primary care) + * Press 5 (scheduling) + * Press 1 (for English) + * Press 3 (to schedule or reschedule) + * Press 1 (primary care) * On hold * On hold * Press 1 to leave my phone for callback. Bot said I'd receive a callback "in the order it was received". I left my number at 9:53am * Waited * 10am, received a callback. Spoke to a woman - I asked to schedule an appointment. She took all my info, then transferred me to someone else w/o telling me who I was being transferred to or why. When another woman picked up, she just said "hello". No identification or dept name. I said, "I'm trying to schedule an appointment and was transferred to you..." she interrupted and said, "you reached the woman's clinic" and then abruptly transferred me somewhere else. Then I was put on hold... * On hold "the staffer is assisting others, please continue to hold" * On hold * On hold * Connected somewhere and the phone rang! * And rang * And rang * TT Liz unable to help me. "You need to talk to Patient Relations" to create a profile and that way I can be scheduled. Their direct line is 747-210-3800. Transferred me to the main menu * Press 1 (for English) * Press 3 (to schedule or reschedule) * Press 1 (primary care) * On hold * On hold * On hold * Press 1 to enter callback number & an operator will callback in the order it was received * Hung up at 10:25am * 1 hour of complete futility Their scheduling service is FUBAR. If it's this hard to get UCLA Medical to take my money for medical services, I don't wanna see what it's like to pay or dispute a bill.
Misdiagnosed: The doctors here have no real clue what they are doing. I go into the emergency to get checked out and couldn't sleep because I was constantly coughing and coughing up phlegm. I tell the doctor that I think I'm having sinus headaches and he brushes me off. Listens to my chest to finds no congestion. Makes me wait 3 hours for covid and flu test results. Tells me and prescribed medicine for chest congestion... Makes me worse. I stop it and find my favorite sinus medicine instead, start recovering. If you need a hospital, anywhere but here is better.
My niece was in a car accident and was brought to Olive View hospital. She had injured back in an injured arm. She was brought there by ambulance. You would think somebody would have seen her immediately, but no. They had her sit in the emergency Waiting room for 5 hours. They kept saying somebody will come see you soon, but nothing happened. She was able to get an x. Ray, but three hours later still hasn't heard anything about it. No doctor came to see her. This is a terrible hospital. If somebody's in a car accident, you would think they would be seen immediately but apparently not. My niece ended up leaving to go to another hospital to be seen immediately.
