I've been having my hair cut at this esablishment long before Lou owned it. In fact I got my very first hair cut in approximately 1947 when it was John's Barbershop and east of where it is now. Later Larry and I believe Sam bought it. It was the last of the classic barbershops in a small valley community. The likes of Lou Costello, "Crazy Legs" Elroy Hirsch, "Mr. Outside" Glen Davis, and so many other stars and personalities got their hair cut there or came in just to shoot the breeze. Going to see Lou Rossi is as close to that experience of the early 50s as you can possibly get to in terms of ownership and shooting the breeze along with a great hair experience. This is not just a hair styling or hair cut it is a moment in time and space. In addition Lou can tell you about some of the best Italian recipes or restaurants you might enjoy. Go, and enjoy!!!

Great experience great people. Lou was very caring and understanding with my mother this morning and made a bad situation bearable. My mother lost her hair yesterday due to chemotherapy and the previous wig purchased just made her extremely uncomfortable, and all she wanted to do was lock herself in her house. My mother a decade ago used to go to Lou and checked out that he sells and styles wigs. He handled my mother delicately and helped her find a wig she could be more comfortable with and styled and cut it for her. There are not enough words to tell you the weight that was lifted off her shoulders and the pride he gave her back. I definitely would recommend this salon and especially Lou for his compassion and understanding in handling a fragile situation. Thank you Lou Rossi!
