I was so Happy today I got to reconnect with Mercedes whom had cut my hair a few years ago. Then she was gone. I was looking for a haircut today and the guy I have been going too is in another country right now, so I called shear and was so Happy to hear Mercedes answered. I asked if she possibly had any openings for today, well she did. I went and am so pleased with my haircut, she takes her time and explains as she is cutting, my hair was getting rather shabby as I had not had it trimmed or cut for that matter in a few months. I'm struggling with my new haircut. I brought in specific images for how I wanted my hair... I understood that it couldn't look exactly like the images, but I was told by the stylist that she'd NOT touch my bangs to help mimic the chosen style, but towards the end of the appointment, she gave my bangs a straight cut and made them really short...I just feel like she took a little too much creative freedom after I had just explained how I wanted my hair. I won't be sharing her name because the hair is not horrible. It just isn't what we had clearly discussed either... Came here after looking up salons close to home. I was due for a hair cut but didn't want to go to my usual hair salon. They are by appointments only but they were kind enough to let me get a hair cut without an appointment since it wasn't busy. Alyssa who cut my hair did an awesome job. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and the results were great! She also made sure to ask me if the length she cut was what I wanted. Alyssa was really nice, she also curled my hair to show me how the cut looked like since I have dark hair color and couldn't tell when it straight. Overall I had a great experience with them, they were kind and very welcoming. Definitely will come back!...read full review
