BEWARE:: THIS LADY RESPECTS NO ONES TIME BUT HERS.
Brought my Mom here for the first visit. LYDIA said to arrive at 9am sharp. She was 20 mins late. She was just arriving to shop. She sat my Senior Mom down, and didn't want to give us a price until AFTER she was done. I stepped in and said nope. That's not how this works. You don't go into a Chipotle and ask for a burrito or something without knowing the price! Lydia was trying to take advantage of the situation. So I demanded a price before she started doing my Mom's hair. Which she then gave after she realized I will NOT be falling for her BS.
Second visit this past Saturday: my Mom's appt was at 12pm. We'll Guess What! My Mom did get her hair done until 12:50pm! All because Lydia is greedy, and non respectable of anyone's time but hers because all she is after is Money.
Then! Get this. She sold her something for hair growth that was the tiniest bottle that was $15 dollars. I looked up the ingredients later that day. Turns out it's for Psoriasis. Not hair growth. Wow. How dare you get over on a Senior customer. You should be ashamed of yourself Lydia. And also. She lied to my Mom saying the Jamaican Castor oil was going to be free. Turns out she charged her for it.
Lydia we are no longer going to do business with a time waster, a liar, and worst of all-this lady doesn't even have AC or Heat in her shop because she is too cheap. Our first visit me and Mom were freezing in the shop. All Lydia kept saying is, It's Cold! And had the smallest heater in the shop. A personal one you can find at Walmart. Get real. Respect people's appt time. Give them a courtesy call if you are running behind..but no. You can't do that. Your too concerned with making money the shady way.

Requested style: I got the style I requested in a timely manner despite having a last minute booking. I had a full weave with minimal leave out. She did a excellent job.

My ten year-old got her hair done one day BEFORE our family vacation (3/30/2024). The owner (Lydia), who braided my daughters hair, told her to make sure I knew there were NO refunds. It took nine hours for her to finish my daughters hair, and she said she didn't know how much to charge. Finally, she decided to charge $200. In FOUR days (4/3/2024), my daughters hair looks ridiculous! The quality is TRASH! I should have read the reviews first, I would not recommend this shop to anyone of any age.

When I arrived the person I spoke with on the phone 15 minutes earlier to confirm my appointment didn't relay to the person in the shop that I had an appointment. When I arrived, the braider (who was very nice) said she was filling in for the owner. When she called the owner, the owner said she had not received a call from me! What?! The braider, although very nice, wasn't the best braider. But I would never return - too unorganized, unprofessional and not customer friendly owner.
