They were excellent and i was a happy customer until Rosie got MITES from the stay and lost a lot of feathers / weight. The damage is permanent (its been almost 1.5 years since then and there have been color changes / feather regrowth issues). I addressed it immediately and the hotel wrote back with what to do next, which i appreciated. Otherwise its a great / convenient place with great staff, but this is a risk folks should be aware of. Sadly we dont use the hotel anymore 😭

I have my bird stay here every time I leave town for vacations or a short weekend getaway. They go above and beyond to care for your feathered friends! If you are on the fence, they clean the cages very well, feed them fresh veg as well as your dry food along with any other diet needs. They will even medicate or give vitamins to birds of special needs. One time, I forgot juice for my bird, they kindly went and got him some so I didn't have to come back with juice. They will make sure to make your bird feel safe, loved, and properly cared for. Cannot recommend this place enough. Highly competent and caring staff members will go above and beyond to meet all your needs for a very affordable price at a very prime and convenient location

We go there all the time. Only place we go to room Chloe our cockatoo for 5-50 days. They also groom the bird if we want to.

Our Meyer's Parrot, who is now 28 years old, has been a regular at the SF Bird Hotel for many years -- and it's always worth the 1.5-2 hour drive to get there! The staff are wonderful, and he is obviously very well cared for (in every sense of the word 'care'! -- including with fresh fruits & veggies daily) -- he's always very content and happy when we arrive for pick up. Our parrot is an absolutely BELOVED VIP family member, who has very specific care needs -- and I do not hesitate to frequently entrust him to the SF Bird Hotel.

LOVE the Bird Hotel!! We didn’t take vacations for 5 years before we discovered them! We have 2 sun conures and 1 mitred conure. They are the BEST! What’s great, is they will also do grooming which is a game changer. They love our feathered kids as much as we do and that can’t be beat! Thank you to everyone there!!

I love the previous review in rhyme and agree 100% with every word of it. My Senegal Mozart and I love San Francisco Bird Hotel so much, we commute from Santa Rosa for Mozart's stays and grooming - even if I'm not flying out of SFO. The care he receives is beyond excellent - from fresh fruits and veggies to cuddles to grooming - it's all exceptional. The staff is also amazing - they will treat your parrot like one of their own. Mozart is always so happy to arrive and sad to leave. He's even started demanding occasional stays when we have no travel plans.

Terrible place, I took my two healthy 3 years old parakeets to ( SF Bird hotel in south. SanFrancisco,CA), on Sep. 26.2023, one got sick, infection, lost weight in just 7 days, other one will be tested soon. Breaks my heart to see my poor little bird going through this. I will never go back here. They put these little birds in a small room with no sunlight or windows. in parakeet rooms.I regret taking them there.Picture below shows my blue parakeet at bird hospital puffed up sleeping. She's on fungal, yeast medication for a month.

The staff are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. The place is exquisitely clean considering they house over 100 birds, and chances are it's probably cleaner than your house! Whenever I pickup my parrot, he always looks calm and happy.
