“I saw Anvil's booth at the Seaside Tattoo Expo in Ventura and was taken with Kathleen's work. I'd been kicking around an idea for months, but hadn't found someone I thought would do it well. I had an idea that combined realism, geometric abstraction, and watercolor techniques. I didn't have the design, but I had an idea and some examples showing different elements of what I wanted. Kathleen took it and ran with it, putting together a design even cooler than I imagined! This was my first tattoo and she made the process as effortless as possible. Five and a half hours in the chair and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Will definitely be looking to get more with her. The studio itself was really clean and the vibe was very cool. Lots of talented people there.“

“Love this place. Got my first few tattoos here with Jay few months ago and I had a really great experience. I was a little nervous for the pain (I'm scared of needles) but I was suprise at how it feels kinda good lol. Jay really let me take my time with my designs and placement and the shop is really clean and tidy. I checked out some other local shops and tbh can't say they're as clean. Playink is the place to go! I went back a few weeks ago for a larger piece and again had a great experience from Jay, Jojo, and Lexi. Ended up getting an additional flash while I was there. I've recommended to all my friends and plan to go back soon whenever I decide on my next design.“
