I've been tattooed by Heather Bailey at Holy Union four times now and am totally in love with each piece. All four are custom designs and they've all healed beautifully with incredible colors and shading. She has such a wealth of artistic and technical knowledge that she's able to make all kinds of designs work in terms of how they fit on the body, flow with other pieces and simply feel right. All that said, her flash is incredible and I'm always tempted by it. So if you're having trouble deciding on a custom piece, she has a ton of great options that are as strong as her custom work. The shop itself is beautifully curated with artists' original flash, paintings and assorted...read full review

It's an environment that feels rooted in the history of tattoo shops and you feel that excitement walking in, but it's also different from other shops in unique ways. There's so many custom and curated parts of the shop to soak in while you're getting tattooed. And as others have mentioned, the shop soundtrack is always on point. From beloved favorites to songs you're hearing for the first time, it all fits perfectly. And there's great food and coffee / juice options within walking distance to enjoy before and after. The shop has such a diverse clientele and everyone is always treated with so much respect and professionalism. Whether it's your first tattoo or you're almost totally covered, you're going to feel comfortable. All the staff and artists are really great. I just wrapped a tattoo and can't wait to be back again.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Heather for years now. She’s such a talented illustrator and tattooer and always knows how to transform my ideas into beautiful custom pieces that surpass my high expectations. She’s got a fantastic eye for size, placement and style and always offers invaluable guidance during the decisionmaking process. I trust her implicitly to help me finalize decisions surrounding the tattoo and I've never been disappointed. She has excellent instincts for all phases of the process.Holy Union itself is a gorgeous, professional and clean shop with very welcoming and friendly staff.
