Absolutely adorable cozy and affordable. Seriously one of the best places I've ever stayed in South Lake Tahoe and the views can't be beat. We got a full beach view from our room on the private Beach area that the hotel has. The rooms are super comfy and the perfect cabin vibes. My only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is while the very outside of the hotel has been renovated and the rooms are kept clean and nice you can tell she's a little old. It's not a deal breaker but the carpets definitely could be used to replace and some of the rooms to have a little bit more paint on them and a few more upgrades like a microwave in the room. Good spot to stay, wife an I "TRY" to make it an annual stay in South Lake Tahoe, they do have multiple room units. We always get the single room unit. This has single room, full bathroom, full kitchen, fire place, and a living room with a small back porch looking out toward the lake right in the back area... great for kids to play because the beach areas basically enclosed VIA the lodge. Front counters very pleasant an always helpful especially if somethin in the room malfunctions or goes aray.... we stayed Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon an wife paid about $950. Other nice thing is SAFWAY'S across the STREET and "HEIDI'S" RESTAURANT is 3 minute walk from the LODGE...read full review

This was the best hotel/ location I have stayed at in Lake Tahoe. I needed a rest after taking care of my 93 year old mom for several months and this hotel was perfect. The staff was extremely cheerful and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here. I was in room 217 for 4 nights and the view of the lake from the room and the balcony was gorgeous.I could hear very little noise from other rooms. That may be different in the summer, but it was perfect in early October.I would have used the on site spa, but for some very concerning reviews on various sites.
