This is a good place to come if you want a nice, standard haircut. I don't recommend if you want something trendier. My experiences here were mostly good, the barber who usually cut my hair was very cool and easy to talk to. However, there was another guy who took FOREVER just for a low taper. You can always tell when a barber is just trying to run the clock, so I did not appreciate that. I also showed him a photo reference of what I wanted and the result wasn't even close. Prices went up from 35 to 40 as of summer 2024. I didn't see the point in spending so much, especially when my hair texture (loose curls) need a little more care. Jesse gave me an awful haircut, then ghosted me throughout the week when I tried to come in and have it fixed. Had to go to another barbershop nearby, House of Blends, and spend another 40 for a much better cut. I will not be coming back
Friendly service but the guy messed up my haircut. I told him exactly what I wanted and he still cut it very uneven. I had been letting my hair grow for 3 months because my previous barber had cut a side too high. The barber at Alumni followed the pattern that the old barber has messed up. I told him EXACTLY what not to do and he did it. He was friendly, though.
