When I got to her studio, she continued to educate me to help me decide the right service for my eyebrows and she completely talked me through every step in the process as well as through the aftercare. “Please come here!! I had a horrible hair cut and color done by another salon in sd and Mariam took me the same day I called her. My hair was really short and choppy, so I assumed there probably wasn't anything we could do, but she fixed everything with color, a little trimming, and extensions! She's the sweetest hair stylist I've ever met and so talented! Just take a look at the pictures of her work on here, she's amazing. She really took her time but the appointment went by really quick. She knew I wasn't quite ready to let all my gray hair come in (I tried) so she blended my gray and toned down my brassy blonde color. I wanted a new cut to give me more age appropriate style and BAM! “Three words: BEAUTIFUL, CONFIDENT, & COMFORTABLE. This is what a session with Michelle will leave you feeling. Scheduling was quick and easy with the online booking, and she was able to squeeze me in on short notice. I booked a much needed glam-up (hair & makeup) for a wedding I was attending, and from previous experiences I assumed it was going to take a couple of hours but she was fast, funny, and efficient. I LOVED that she suggested various types of makeup looks that were appropriate for the occasion-going for a softer but chic look with it being a daytime wedding. She also made it a point to compliment/match my makeup with my outfit! Not only was she amazing at what she does, but makes you feel relaxed, and at home in her chair by serving any type of drink you want (wine, vodka, etc.). I appreciated that she listened to what hairstyle I wanted, and with a " say no more" vibe... replicated the look I was going for. Her area was clean (brushes also), well-lit, and organized; which is a huge priority for me. That night I received SO many complements at the wedding and from my fiance. I will definitely be going back to Michelle, not only for a glam-up, but for one of her various refreshing facials.“

“I am not one to wear makeup, mainly because I am not good at applying it. I had a fancy Christmas party I had to attend and was scrambling around looking for someone that could do my makeup. I came across Brush and Blend on Yelp and saw all the positive reviews so I decided to reach out. They were extremely accommodating and were able to see me on short notice. I had the pleasure of having Reem do my makeup and she went above and beyond. Her makeup application was flawless and I was complimented on it all night. It lasted through hours of dancing. By the end of the night, my makeup still looked as great as when I left the studio. I will definitely be using Brush and Blend again“

“I found Justyna out of pure luck 5-6 years ago.I searched yelp for a salon close to me that had the highest reviews. I called the front desk & asked the girl who she would want to do "her" hair. "Well all our senior stylists are good..." but then she paused and said "Justyna." Prior to Justyna, I had been bleaching & dying my hair ash blonde at home, but it was always stressful and required many hours to do despite watching countless youtube videos. Ultimately, my goal was to have white ash blonde/silver hair. I did okay, but in the process I definitely caused a lot of breakage. I had also been bouncing around from stylist to stylist for trims/cuts, but always left the chair unhappy/crying. They would chop off inches when I asked for a "trim" and/or they would turn my hair into the BIG BOUNCY BOBS that is commonly sported by middle-aged news anchors. I started going to Justyna and haven't looked back. Justyna has seen my hair through the bad and the good times. Not only was she able to take my natural hair from ginger/strawberry blonde to silvery/icy blonde, but she helped me restore and maintain the integrity of my hair. (Most people don't know this, but ginger/red hair is one of the HARDEST to lift/lighten.) At one point, I had burned/broken hair & was left with a very obvious 3 inches of hair next to the rest of my shoulder length hair at the top crown/back of my head (EEEK!). Justyna helped conceal the breakage and restore the integrity so that the hair that grew back was longer/healthier. Justyna and I have jumped around from white/opal to blue-blonde to purple-blonde to silver over the years & she would always make sure I left the chair happy (I admit that I am picky/difficult to please). I always get compliments on my hair, even when it's greasy or my roots are showing. People ask "did you just get your hair done? it looks great," but in reality I haven't washed it in 4 days. That is all thanks to Justyna. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has trained under world renowned hair stylists and traveled the world doing hair. Her resume is truly impressive, but she is very modest and won't tell you unless you ask. She has taught me so much & has helped my hair that I have always struggled to grow past shoulder length become longer than ever. My hair is also in the best shape, despite years of bleaching and heat. I followed Justyna from her original salon to her new place and I am so excited for her to be on her own. Even if I move away, I would come back to get my hair done by her. Bottom line: Whether you're are looking for a cut/style or color/blonding, I would recommend Justyna. She is the best hair stylist I have been to and is honest about achieving your hair goals while maintaining the INTEGRITY of your hair. She is wonderfully warm, never pushes to buy products, and she always answers all my hair/beauty questions. Also, her prices are extremely reasonable (she could charge way more based on her background/experience) and she gives the BEST head/shoulder massages. FYI:I wasn' t asked to write this review (I resolved to stop putting off things I have been meaning to do in 2021) and after all these years it was about time.“
