Al's Santee Barber Shop

I looked around for a new barber shop in east county as the ones I had been going to didnt do a good job or they didnt listen to what I wanted. I found Al's barber shop on Google maps and all the good reviews he got so I thought i'd give it a try. I was really happy with his work. The wait was short. The conversation was good and the price was in line with other shops. Hes got a regular customer now.

When I first stumbled upon Al's Santee Barber it was as though I had just entered the Twilight Zone and gone back to the early 1960's. Al is an expert at cutting hair and he does it with humor and, if you're lucky, a quick song on his guitar (he is a world class musician as well). There is a reason for occasional long lines, but if you can avoid the first Saturday of the month you should be okay. I walked in yesterday (Friday) in the mid afternoon and I had no wait. It's worth any wait. After reading the other views I think you will be safe to trust your haircut to Al. This place is great. Ol' school barber with a great environment. Wait time was good, about 10-15 minutes. Plenty of parking, great conversation, and a hair(s) cut, well worth the $14. This is also a great place to take the kids. Remember getting a s***** from the barber when you were done, well those days are still here at Als. Lolli pops are always a welcome treat for the little ones, and who knows, Al may even break for couple minutes and play you a little tune on the keyboards. This place is great and you should stop by. I am not an employee, owner, or staff member, just a long time customer who thinks this place nice.
