Temporary 5 Star rating to offset the only other review here, since I can't post a response/comment. I will volunteer with this organization and see if the 1 star rating is deserved. Currently (just from reading the review), it seems a vindictive lashing out at an organization that may prove beneficial to our community. Granted, they seem to have screwed over the person's daughter. However, even then I'm not convinced, since in my experience the acceptance of a senior project was at my school's discretion, not some outside party. Sorry but NAMI does not help the mentally Ill, they give out information to resources that require appointments where there is no available appointments for 4 months! Wonder why there is so much homelessness, because the help is non existent for a mentally Ill person, it's very sad! I'm a mother of a daughter who is mentally ill, I'm frustrated by our system! I can't have my daughter live with me, but I can't find a place for her to stay! I would rate NAMI zero if I could...... read full review
Discovered them after our 3rd horrific fire in N California and yes I definitely recommend them 100%, very kind and sometimes you just need someone to talk to.
