Title: Mixed Experience at Salon Republic Santa MonicaI had the opportunity to rent a studio at Salon Republic in Santa Monica, and my experience there was a blend of ups and downs. Initially, everything was fantastic. The studio provided a great space for my work, and the ambiance was truly inspiring.As the COVID situation unfolded, things became more challenging due to constantly changing rules and regulations. Kim Young, the owner of this salon, is UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and HEARTLESS. Client asked for root touch up to blonde; ended up ruining her hair and turning her hair reddish-brown. Kim Young refused to fix her hair so as the client's right refused to pay for ruining her hair. The owner got upset, pulled the client's hair and called the police for refusing to pay for sh** services, and locked the client in the salon until midnight until client gave up and paid and was able to finally be let go out of the salon. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.
This review was long due! Jay Lee at Salon Republic suite 40 saved me from a bad hair experience and color corrected my hair to give me a softer look. She also did deep conditioning and my hair felt so grateful after that. She does have a lot of knowledge about hair, products and all kinds of treatments. Thanks.
