It’s taken awhile to write this, and I will keep my father’s name out of it for privacy.. but wanted to share this story as I hope it helps someone else. Dr. Franc misdiagnosed my dad’s Parkinson’s a few years ago, and actually did do tests- but despite all of the physical and cognitive signs, just because the brain scan came back ok- he sent him on his way with a good report of health despite shuffled gait, hand tremors, and incredibly slow movement.
Fast forward 2.5 years, my dad passed away about 6 months ago. Multiple complications led to his passing but his lack of recovery and cause for aspiration pneumonia all led back to Parkinson’s- and it was...read full review
Dr. Franc may be very smart but he comes across as somewhat disengaged and disconnected from the patient. It seems once he has made his mind, he doesn't hear what you have to say. It is not a good feeling to leave a doctor's office thinking if he was listening to you and really understood what you wanted to communicate to him. He was dismissive during the visit and opinionated. A physician can be confident without discounting what the patient experiences. I guess that requires good bedside mannerism. Too bad!
