Poor reviews, not surprised. I absolutely do not recommend bothering with this office, highly unprofessional.
I scheduled an appointment with this place in desperation as my eyes have been awful lately. Suffering. Literally. Santa Maria is out of my way but I needed to see an eye dr anyway, have been waiting several weeks for this appointment, low and behold to my utter shock I get a voicemail today and it’s a message saying that my appointment has been CANCELLED BECAUSE I DIDN'T RESPOND TO A TEXT MESSAGE THEY SENT ON A SUNDAY! It’s mind blowing to think that they assume that I saw or noticed their text message. Especially on a Sunday when I was away hiking....read full review
Efficient and meets appointments on time. Explained medical-eye relationship very well. Missing star is related to office staff ability to find charts (still hardcopy and difficult to locate when between work tasks).
I made an appointment with Dr. Reid, but when I got to the office, I saw Dr. Alford. One of the ladies at the desk was having a hard time trying to find me on my insurance website, so she asked, who I think was the office manager to help. I called my insurance, put them on speaker, and the problem was solved. When we hung up, she told me and everyone else in the office that Eyemed was horrible insurance and they lie and don't pay. She was so rude. She wanted to charge me $800 for my computer glasses. They were dual lenses for computer and reading. This is the reason I went into the office.
