I just moved back to Santa Cruz and finally found my barber. Lucas is the real deal. Within a few minutes of sitting in his chair, you can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing and takes pride in his craft. The shop has great vibes, the cut was on point, and the price is fair at $35 before tip. Highly recommend.

Can’t recommend Montgomerys highly enough. No matter what style you are going for, Ramona will hook you up. I haven’t found anyone who can shape up my mullet the same way in the 10 years I’ve had it, including in 3 major US cities. The other barbers seem great as well, and the whole place is very relaxed, professional, and welcoming. Haircuts are very affordable here too. If I lived within 2 hours I would probably make the drive every month to get a haircut and hang out in Santa Cruz. If you are local, go here.

Romona is quick with the shears! And once the cut meets your standards "Look" it grows out great. The Barbar Shop has a quick pull in parking area easily missed, but the next street takes you to the same place. Lots of nostalgic items in the shop!
