I'm so grateful to have found Jeannine! For the first time, I finally felt like a health professional actually, truly listened to me. She really takes a wholistic approach and is interested in all aspects of your life and body and how they relate to your wellbeing. She always takes the time to check in with me about how I've been feeling before we begin acupuncture and I never feel rushed. I was really nervous to try acupuncture, but she made me feel safe and comfortable. I appreciate that she adapts her care to my needs. For example, my body is very sensitive so sometimes she uses teeny tiny needles, or even just seed stickers, on points that are sensitive. She also takes great care in making custom herb mixtures and recommending other products. I've been seeing her for over a year now, and she has done wonders for my menstrual cycle (I barely ever have cramps now!) and really helps with my GI issues. I had a knee injury at one point and she helped with that. No matter what you're struggling with, she will do her best to understand it and treat it. She also gives amazing massages (from time to time I treat myself to a bliss massage session!) and she can integrate cupping and gua sha into sessions as well if it fits your needs. I was experiencing high allergies and asthma this spring. Pocean helped me with breathe freely again. I didn't need to sleep propped up at night any longer. Pocean prescribed a few herbs that helped cooling my inflamed lungs. Also I received some cupping in addition to the needles during in clinic sessions. These helped release much tension in my upper back from exhaustion after poorly breathing and helped release congestion. I felt deeply understood and supported by Pocean. I will be returning for preventative and continued care regularly. Planning to get prenatal support next.

I brought my 6 month old baby in for her Monthly Pediatric Lunar treatment with Jeannine Ruskin. It's a meridian treatment to stimulate the immune system and creates balance throughout the body. She was friendly, gentle with my baby, professional and knowledgable. I really appreciated that she showed me a couple of techniques for massaging my baby at home. I look forward to our next months appointment.
BTW the Earth Essence Acupuncture office at the Tula Center is really beautiful, much like a modern spa.
