I had my first floor remodeled including a kitchen and bathroom. David is easily the most honest professional contractor I've ever met. His crew and sub-contractors were nothing less than stellar examples of their art. Throughout the project, David kept me updated on schedule changes or cost changes.Honestly he was done way early and on budget. His work is detailed and finished beyond my expectations. And finally, he's just a really nice person and so easy to communicate with.

We highly recommend David for your remodeling job. He and his crew did excellent work on our kitchen and bath remodel. Both rooms were gutted and rebuilt to our great satisfaction. David was responsive and honest, even recommending that some work was not adding much value. His subcontractors are first rate.

David Hooks is a great contractor to work with. Cutting Edge did a tremendous job on enclosing a valted ceiling and building a new room for us for one of the newer houses on UCSC campus. The job was done exactly to the day on time and on budget. We got three bids and David's was substantially more affordable. Our architect thought he was one of the best builders in Santa Cruz, and we agree. I would be happy to recommond David and Cutting Edge to anyone.
