About The Face Shop
The Face Shop, a leading Korean beauty brand, has established a strong presence in the United States, with 28 brand and comprehensive cosmetic stores across the country. Founded on the philosophy of "Bringing Your Inner Beauty Out," the company has partnered with top Korean brands like The History of Whoo, Tonymoly, and Prettyskin to offer a wide range of mid- to low-priced K-Beauty products to American consumers. The Face Shop's dedicated team of 150 employees works diligently to harmonize inner and outer beauty, catering to the needs of over 1 million loyal customers. The brand's flagship store in the Bay Area, located in Milpitas, was a popular destination for K-Beauty enthusiasts, but unfortunately, it had to close down due to the challenges posed by the post-pandemic era. Despite the closure, The Face Shop continues to have a strong presence in the region, with stores at Valley Fair and Tully Road. Customers appreciate the brand's extensive selection of skin care and cosmetic products, particularly the wide range of face masks that offer great deals, such as "buy 10, get 5 free." The sales staff are known for their helpfulness and willingness to provide personalized recommendations based on skin type. As The Face Shop continues to expand its reach, it remains committed to bringing the latest K-Beauty trends to the American market, persistently knocking on the doors of consumers and inspiring them to embrace their inner beauty.
Love that you can try different Korean brands (both upscale and drug store brands) here. They have Tirtir, the beauty of Jeseon, Cleo, history of Whoo, Sulwhasoo etc. Price is a bit higher but trying before buying saves $$ from getting a product online for cheaper but end up not liking.
The Face Shop is the only Korean skin care shop in the Bay Area I know of. They had a Milpitas store off Montague Expressway but it was out of business. I suspect the post-pandemic made it hard for the business to get by with lease and not enough sales. The area it's in doesn't have the usual shoppers who are into the K products. The closest shop by me is Valley Fair or Tully Road. I go to Valley Fair because I like to walk the mall and eat there. Besides the food court, there are plenty of milk tea drinks and desserts around. They are the biggest store and has a good selection of skin care and cosmetics. I'm always buying the masks because they have great deals. Their deal for the day I was there was buy 10 masks and get 5 free. What a deal that is. I buy their brow liner/brush that I use on weekends. My other brow liner is Estee Lauder. Another thing I bought was the History of Whoo ginger skin brightener. I have been using that for awhile and I notice how bright my skin is getting. I decided to stop putting it on my whole face and spot treat and use under the circle of my eyes. I like the refreshing smell of ginger. My experience with the sales people were they helped me and gave me a basket as I was holding 10 masks. Nice and courteous. In the news, there has been a rise in retail theft so the sales clerks are doing what they can to prevent that, otherwise, suffer going out of business like a lot of major retail stores in San Francisco.
Ever since I discovered this place Ive been coming here. They always have good sales on their face masks. In which the face masks are very good quality and leave my skin looking very smooth and glowy. If you need recommendations you can ask the lady in the front she was very helpful and provided which masks to use if one has dry or oily skin.
