Rieko is the massage therapist I've been looking for. She is very knowledgeable and gives a massage very different than others I've experienced. Rieko started off the session asking very detailed questions about pain areas, injuries, and my typical activities and this all affected her technique for the session. She pointed out areas of tension in other parts of my body affecting my back and worked on those instead of just focusing on my back as I was originally expecting. Rieko at Calm Bodyworks is the therapist I wish I’d found years ago. I deal with vestibular migraine, tightness throughout my body, and pelvic-floor tension that also affects urinary flow. After seeing many practitioners, she is the one who actually fits how my body works.
She loosens the suboccipital and side-neck muscles that usually trigger my flares, and after sessions my neck feels freer and the VM symptoms ease. My pelvic floor also feels less tight, and my flow is noticeably better. Rieko is amazing! Knowledgeable, attentive, and great at explaining how she relieves tension. She gave me helpful pain-relief tips, and I felt much better afterward. Highly recommend! :)
