Baldwin mortise lock doorknobs were loose (fell off), making the door unusable. I scheduled a home visit yesterday for this afternoon. Eddie, the locksmith, who had told me parts might need to be ordered. arrived on time, fixed the problem (no parts needed), and adjusted (had to remove the doorknobs temporarily to do the job) of an interior door He was competant, courteous, and charged what he had quoted on the phone. $85 for the service visit and $35 per door...and gave me a 10% senior discount. Honest tradesman; fantastic!

The owner cares about making money, but not that much about customer service. What happened to me was that he told me to come back in 30 min; I came back in 45 min and he had already gone out for lunch and I had to wait another hour to come back again. I represent a business that recently moved into the area and I probably am not coming back unless I don't have any other options.

Front door lock required two hands to open, Laris came down within a few hours of my call, replaces some of the innards and now I can open the door one handed and while carrying an armload of groceries! Price was reasonable too. Thanks!
