Jay was excellent handling our seismic retrofit. Very experienced, fairly priced, did all the work himself, and made sure to keep us up to date on any changes that would be required. Strongly recommend for anyone who needs work done.
I hired Jay at HeavyWood Construction to do Earthquake Brace and Bolt for my home. My foundation is formulated in an unusual maze of cement foundation throughout
the crawl space.
Jay found a way to bolt my house to the foundation where other contractors could not.
Jay did more for me than just Earthquake Bolt. He identified problems with pipe leakage and
worn out and falling down insulation problems that I was not aware of.
He scheduled his time to allow for the plumber to do repairs and insulation to be replaced.

We were fortunate to find Heavywood Construction through the Earthquake Brace and Bolt program. Jay and his crew were amazing. They were always prompt and efficient. Jay provided excellent communication and the finished work is impressive. We sold the home a few months after our retrofit was completed, and I believe the quality of the work (visible in the crawl space) made a positive impression on our buyers. I'm convinced that retrofit and Jay's work in particular helped maximize our home's value.
