I love Doctor Diaz. She is very sweet and so patient with my kitty who isn’t much of a people person. I’m so happy I found her!

We have been going to Crystal Springs Pet Hospital for the past 3 years. The staff is courteous and helpful. The clinic is well organized with good communication with us with reminder emails, billing, and request for feedback. We rarely wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and personnel are gentle and loving with the animal patients. I love that they are open during the week and on week-ends . I so am glad that we switched to this animal hospital because we can trust them and it shows professionalism on behalf of its office staff, techs, and doctors.

I have deep gratitude and appreciation to the entire team at Crystal Springs Pet Hospital for their immediate triage and diligent care of my dog. They made space for him as a walk in when he had a respiratory incident in the shopping center, accommodated immediate x-rays late that evening, and even were prepared to stay after closing to let us know his results that very same night. Dr. Diaz is exceptional and common sense, and took so much time to answer all of my questions. My dog left the practice with a thorough diagnosis, robust and common sense care plan, and same day medication.

They took a shakey covid-era chihuahua who is so afraid of non-family and made him feel so safe and loved. Each and every person at that clinic was his champion and treated him as if he were their own. He had extraordinarily competent and compassionate care. Thank you again to Dr. Diaz and the whole team! <3

I called a couple weeks ago to get a certificate of health for my dog to travel. The system was down and the tech who schedules the certificate of health was not in the office. I left my name and number for them to call me the next day. I never received a call.

Called today for them to put me on hold and tell me they are no longer accepting new patients.

First took our dog in 2 weeks ago for ear pain. Turned out he had a foxtail in his ear. I was told it ruptured his ear drum and he would need to be rechecked in a a week to look for signs of infection. A week later, 30 minutes prior to our appointment they called to cancel the appointment because they were short staffed. They said he didn't need the appointment if he "seemed to be acting normal ". When he got groomed a week later the groomer said it looked like he had an ear infection. I immediately called CSPH, they told me the next appointment would be in 2 weeks. I told them that's not acceptable given he should have been seen for a recheck on his ear and they canceled the appointment. They got us in a few days later with Dr Hoppe, she was so hands off and asked me what I wanted her to do. I reminded her she is the vet and why we were there. She said my dog would not allow her to check his ears because he squirms too much. Needless to say I left with ear drops as a precaution and no real update whether my dog has an ear infection. We have had good experiences at CSPH in the past with another family dog and this dog so I am very torn.

I've been going to Crystal Springs since 2020 when I was referred there for emergency splenectomy surgery with Dr Gadde. The prices were the most reasonable and follow up was so attentive and amazing. I live in Oakland and continue traveling down to use them because I just trust all the vets. I now am with Dr Cherry, who my dog loves and was so thoughtful going through pros and cons of tooth extraction with an older (13) dog (which went off without a hitch). After his latest bout with vestibular disease, Dr Hoppe went above and beyond to follow up check in with us during a really scary time when I had a ton of questions but couldn't travel with him. I cannot recommend this office enough.

Firstly the front desk is a bit odd? Some of the poeple that work there are REALLY sweet and helpful and the others always make you feel like a nuisance for calling/asking any questions (which makes it SUCH a pain to call and ask anything...).

Secondly for context my dog is REALLY anxious going to the vet so the vet that we were assigned was really sweet/kind/understanding of my dogs anxiety (and my own haha). However I had some weird feedback in regards to feeding raw (which usually isn't a good sign).

And the real thing that happened was I scheduled a blood test for my dog and a yearly check up. And in our appointment with our vet, we had mentioned our dog was feeling low energy, gained A LOT of weight (20-30lbs), other symptoms. Our vet seemed unfazed by all of these pretty glaring symptoms? So we did the blood test, and some of her levels were a bit off, which our vet made a note about those. BUT the real kicker was the lowest value she had was her thyroid (WHICH THE VET DID NOT MENTION OR FLAG ANYTHING to US AT ALL). I immediately saw this, and emailed her twice asking if this is a red flag, what should we do? Are her symptoms related to this (which they very clearly were). I called the front desk got some rude response, and NEVER heard anything back from anyone. So I'm done with this place.

I ended up taking my dog to a homeopathic vet in Pleasant Hill which is a drive for us but SO worth it. That vet listened to us very attentively and immediately had us do a full thyroid panel. My dog came back with autoimmune hypothyroidism (her values were VERY low). Wish I had gone to this vet immediately, I'm kicking myself for waiting this long.

Please do your research and homework when it comes to vets, unfortunately the whole medical/vet industry is hard to navigate but its SO worth finding someone you can trust.

Has changed hands as the old vet retired. They were very kind to us when our old dog suffered from health issues and she passed. Very hard to get appointments now as they are so busy.
