I had a terrible experience with Dr. Watanabe. I brought my pet to see this doctor to seek help for my pet's painful symptoms. There were many red flags that I noticed at this office. I have never seen a veterinarian/ animal clinic accept cash as their only form of payment. Another extreme concern was how Dr. Watanabe was searching my cat's symptoms on google on his cellphone in front of me, and reading off the results. However, the most concerning part is that he misdiagnosed my cat. Dr. Watanabe urged me to come back to him to have my cat's teeth extracted- a full mouth extraction, and told me I could wait it out beforehand. I was hesitant to follow through with the doctor's orders, since it seemed like a process that would cause my cat furthermore pain. I took my cat to the specialist, and that's when I found out the truth, that he was suffering from a very painful and aggressive oral cancer. Dr. Watanabe should have his license revoked for making a critical mistake as he did. When I called the office to make them aware of Dr. Watanabe's misdiagnosis and how my cat's outcome would have been different had Dr. Watanabe been competent enough to make the correct diagnosis, they were extremely nonchalant about the situation. I don't recommend anyone to bring their pets to this place. I strongly urge anyone who reads this to run from this veterinarian. I strongly believe that Dr. Watanabe doesn't care about the animals he sees.

Vet is great but be prepared to wait despite having an appointment. On my most recent appointment they were behind 2 hours. Last appointment I also waited hours. This alone is making me consider changing vet. They should not overbook and let folks know if they are so behind.

Dr Watanabe has saved the life of more than one of our dogs, and increased the quality of life of all 6 of the dogs we've brought to him over the 30 years we've been his clients. A truly gifted healer.

    A Vet Who Puts Policy Over a Dog’s Well-Being

I am beyond disappointed with Dr. Wantanabe and their refusal to share my adopted dog’s veterinary records. As someone who rescued this dog and is committed to giving them the best possible care, I find it appalling that this clinic is more concerned with bureaucracy than the actual health of an animal.

Veterinary records are not proprietary—they belong to the well-being of the dog. By withholding them, this clinic is actively making it harder for me to provide my pet with the proper medical attention they deserve. It’s heartbreaking to think that a place dedicated to animal care would choose to put up unnecessary roadblocks instead of helping ensure a rescue dog gets the continued care they need.

Rescue pets already go through enough, and their new owners should be supported—not stonewalled—by the professionals who were once responsible for their health. If this clinic truly cared about animals, they would prioritize their well-being over rigid policies. Their refusal to do so is not only frustrating but downright irresponsible.

If you value transparency, compassion, and the actual health of your pet, I’d strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere. A vet who refuses to support a dog’s ongoing care is a vet that does not deserve your trust.

The veterinary technicians are amazing and showed so much love and compassion for my best friend Fred the Cat who passed the rainbow 🌈 bridge on Thursday 02/20/2025. Since the beginning when Fred got sick they showed me how to give him fluids and his other medication. Thank you so much

The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.
