“The Joint Chiropractic is a must-have when traveling. And Dr Ivan’s adjustment made it possible for us to continue with our vacation, once the rain stopped. He asked questions to pinpoint the pain and after the adjustment he had me walk around to make sure that it had alleviated the pain. My fiancé got an adjustment too and Dr Ivan took time to educate him on some possible causes of ongoing complaints and suggested testing to check for those underlying causes. “Like some of the patients, I received a card in the mail inviting me to a group lunch meeting with Dr. Al-Selhi. I normally disregard this type of mail but it arrived at a time when the fingers in my right hand are refusing to work after many years of stiffness, swelling and pain. The information he shared at the meeting made so much sense to me, I signed up to see him.

The appointment consisted of getting x-rays done on my hand followed with an immediate consultation where Dr. Al-Selhi pointed out what the x-rays reveal, the causes of my diagnosed osteoarthritic fingers and his recommendations for treatment. I agreed to a session of treatments and within weeks, I noticed the fingers are less stiff, less swollen and easier to flex. One of the things he also did during my initial consultation was to give me a book he had written about how our diet can relieve as well as aggravate our pain. It helped me stop and think about what I have eaten the day before that caused my fingers to be stiff and swollen again the next mornings I woke up. And because I had started to use my left hand when the other one went on strike, the left hand started aching and swelling. Dr. A hooked my left hand on to the machines as well. Talk about kindness. When you enter the office, you will be greeted by the beautiful smile of Jennifer, his assistant. And even when the days are hectic, she makes sure you are comfortably set up for the treatments before attending to the next person. She is so calm and never a strand of hair out of place, that she calms you as well. Although the treatments become routine, Dr. A (for short) never fails to come in to check on you, your progress and administer some of the routine treatments himself. Occasionally, depending on one’s condition at the time, he never hesitates to give extra treatments as needed.

I’d like to share why I believe I made the right decision to go see Dr. A and Jennifer.
The waiting room is small because I never have to wait long.
My treatment starts right on time which tells me they plan their days very well. Personally, I think the patients value what the treatments do for them that they can’t wait to be there on time on the day they are scheduled. At least, that’s how I feel.
Another thing I noticed was the arrival of a new equipment to replace an existing one that was still functioning. This tells me the doctor takes pride in providing the latest and updated versions of the tools he use.
AND the one thing that stands out each time one patient leaves the room and another enters, is we all have happy faces. I think we are all happy because we are in a place where we feel the love and care of Dr. A and Jennifer, where one gets the tangible meaning of “compassion”, where you know you are on your way to experiencing massively less pain or none at all after each visit.

I would gladly refer Dr. A to anyone who can benefit from his care. I would also advise people not to wait until their pains are unbearable before seeing him.“

“I have been waiting for months to write this review because I really just wanted to give everyone a clear picture of what I have experienced here. Disclosure- I had never seen a chiropractor in my 36 years of life (and I admit, I had some irrational fear about seeking chiropractic care,) but I still felt like this was something I had to “resort to,” if you will. “Ive been seeing Dr. Mike for serveral years now. He truly listens to you as you're describing your pain. I'm pretty in tuned with my body, so when I tell him there is still something off, he will find it. He is on the quick and aggressive side, which is relieving for me. I'm pretty sure if you ask to be on the more gentle side, they can probably accommodate. The office staff are nice and they address you by your name as you enter the premises. They are quite flexible when it comes to openings. I've also seen Dr. O a few times when Dr. Mike wasn't available. He is also very nice and has written a book too. As a new patient, they have your usual consultation (xray, range of motion, grip pressures, stress level detection of your spine, etc...) and they have changing rooms in the back with gowns.“

“Dr. Yoshida saved me from horrendous back pain in 2020 with her fantastic care & incredible chiropractic skill. As I was reviewing VSC in Phoenix, AZ for helping my back on this moto trip, I realized I don’t have a google review for my TRUSTED chiropractor, Dr. Yoshida, in Pasadena, CA at Health Advantage Physical Medicine. I’ve been seeing Dr. Yoshida every year since 2020. She keeps my back from getting worse & helps my back & neck issues that I developed over the years before meeting her. She helps my TMJ & aligns jaw too! I’m a clencher & motorcycle rider so I need routine chiro maintenance. , I’m 3 months behind on getting an adjustment from Yoshida. So I had to visit an Arizona chiro while on this motorcycle trip. I’ll definitely see Yoshida soon when I return home. My bad for not making an appointment sooner to maintain my back health with Dr. Yoshida. It’s 2026 and I only have a photo from 2020 during mask mandate protocols. I’m eternally grateful for Dr. Yoshida’s care & expertise. I came to Dr. Yoshida with extreme back pain which kept me from sleeping at night. I had misaligned my spine from a mishap. But also I finally was listening to my body. My spine and back muscles were getting locked up and developing a humpback after years of working long hours at a computer along with being a sport bike rider. I am so grateful for the care I'm getting from Dr. Yoshida and the staff at Health Advantage Physical Medicine. They have a medical nurse on site and Dr. Yoshida can do a full diagnosis with blood work, give you nutrition information they have physical therapy there and more. Dr. Yoshida has been giving me back and neck adjustments along with working on my TMJ. I walked into her office as a total tight muscled, restricted body movement, mess of a person in pain.
After the first treatment I was able to sleep through the night. Everything is improving!
