About Santa Clara Valley Medical Laboratory
Santa Clara Valley Medical Laboratory is a healthcare facility that provides a range of medical services. The laboratory is often busy, with a multitude of people waiting for blood draws and other tests, especially in the mornings. Despite the high volume, the staff, including the blood-drawing technicians, are described as professional, efficient, and gentle in their approach. The facility's waiting area can be crowded, and the wait times for certain services, such as the emergency room and express care, can be lengthy. However, the overall experience is a mixed bag, with friendly workers and doctors but outdated procedures and a lack of adequate seating in the waiting area.
06.10.25 9:45am Mom and Dad both had multiple vials of blood drawn per PCP's orders in a fasted state along with a urine sample.
It was like a Shohei Ohtani signing event was taking place here as there were a MULTITUDE of people waiting for labs this morning. Every seat was occupied plus people standing and in wheelchairs. So if you thought Tuesday mid morning was a good time to go..... no.
Both female techs who drew blood for Dad & Mom; the pretty Asian young lady and the older funnier Asian lady, were super efficient, kind and gentle. Thank you to them!
I always go here early in the morning, between 730 and 830 am. No one is there, usually 2-3 people in the waiting area. The Lady that draws my blood, very professional and gentle. Services 10/10
It's a very mixed bag. Workers and doctors are super friendly. The wait is horrendous. 12 hours at the ER. 4 hours for Express Care. Radiology is always behind at least 30 minutes- every single time. The entire waiting area is full and nowhere to sit. Please add more chairs in the hallway. Or ask the family members to wait somewhere else. It's too bad it's like a very slow, broken government system with outdated procedures, in a sparking new ootball field size building structure. Parking lot is always completely full to the top level.
