“Geet is personable, professional, reliable and on time and has a warm and calming personality. I booked her for gurdwara hair, make up and draping as well as same day reception hair, make up, and draping - both were perfect.
She met in person in advance to make sure my needs for upcoming events were met, checked in via texts leading up to events, she also has a great checklist of reminders to do before the big day (like even airing out dresses that are from abroad! Thank you, just little things too that are importantly that you might forget). I had zero confidence in getting the right flowers for my hair and Geet got them the day before and fridged them to have ready for me the next day. I was so grateful for this. Also while doing my hair, she would briefly massage my head and shoulders - it's like she knows exactly what you need! OMG. I didn't know such treatment was possible, the putting of make up and doing hair felt like a calming, soothing treatment. I am so grateful. Also most importantly, she secured my wedding gurdwara dress in a way so that I had NO issue bowing for the ceremony on the ground (she made me show her too to be sure). Everything functioned PERFECT. She knows what looks good too bc I'm not used to wearing make up and needed help on suggestions. Lastly, I didn't for a moment feel an ounce of impatience with all the hard work she had to do. Some people are just really good at what they do and I'm in awe of Geet! Thank you so much“

“Tam did an incredible job for my wedding day! My hair and makeup held up through several rounds of happy tears and a lot of dancing. By the end of the night I'd taken my hair partially down myself (I wanted to let loose for the dancing), and it still looked effortless. We did a trial beforehand, and she took my notes seriously. The wedding-day look was even better than the trial. She also has a genuine understanding of Asian eye shapes and how to adjust for them, which made a real difference in how my makeup looked in photos. Her team of three kept everything on schedule even after my bridal party (four new moms running on baby time) started thirty minutes late. Truly impressed from trial to final touch-up!!“

“Very over due review. This salon has been part of my family for years—my grandmother has gone here forever, and I brought my son as well. Our last visit was a tough one (major toddler meltdown ?), but Bianca and her daughter handled it with so much patience and understanding. I’m truly grateful for how kind they were during a stressful moment.

“I've been going to Corey for at least 4 years so this review is long overdue. I found Corey by googling "Asian men's hair" and he appeared on the bottom of the first page. At the time, he was close to where I lived. Since that time, he is now far from where I live and his availability and my work hours on occasion make it difficult to schedule...but he is worth it. Three things make him stand out better to me than any other person that has cut my hair: 1. I usually try to get a haircut every 5 weeks. I can give myself a fade on the sides (or at least, he is kind enough to not give me his real opinion!) But due to life and work, getting a regularly scheduled haircut isn't always the case. However, I feel like I can go a few weeks longer without my hair going native on me. It just keeps its shape. 2. Having straight, black, Asian hair, I've always had to use product to get it to lay down especially on certain mornings. As my hair got longer and more unruly, I would feel like I would have to use more product. Corey's haircuts almost require no need for product in my hair. Sometimes, I just use a leave-in conditioner to hold things in place or I've even just left the house with nothing in my hair on occasion. For me, this is unheard of since 7th grade. 3. I've always characterized the time after a haircut as occurring in 3 phases. The immediate phase when the hair is shortest, the "sweet spot" phase when the haircut looks sharp, and the end when the hair is too long and you need a hair cut. The "sweet spot" is the period where you enjoy the haircut. Where you look in the mirror and gleam at the high and tight fade. Where your hair is manageable and you don't have to think about your hair amongst the myriad of other things you have to worry about in your life. Corey's haircuts have the longest "sweet spot" period out of all the haircuts I've ever had. By far. Other than that, Corey is just a really good dude. He is easy to talk to and time just easily passes between us.“

“Justine is extremely skilled and seriously knows how to cut hair. I came in with a very bad haircut and color from a different salon and she knew exactly what to do to fix the cut and had so many great suggestions on how to fix my color on our next visit. The visit felt super intentional and no time was wasted.“

“The place is clean, I like that they give you shampoo and conditioner even if you have washed your hair, they give you a cut and style your hair. I think the cost for the entire service is excellent and very reasonable. Highly recommended

“I’ve been coming since 2017 and have been lashed by everyoneeee. I don’t always get to stick with my favorites due to work and having three littles. That being said, I was lashed by Brandy two weeks ago. I was skeptical to book with someone new to the shop but LOVED her work. My lashes look awesome, held beautifully for two weeks, and she was extremely kind and gentle. “I had to find a new hair dresser after my longtime gal retired. I'm SO relieved to have known of this salon since I had stopped in there a few times to buy their Aveda products. My recently retired gal had stopped selling that brand in her salon so I kept buying them at Gorgeous A Salon. Anyway, I decided to try out this place for my cut and balayage color, and Sophia has been excellent! She nails it every time, and goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome and make me look great! My previous gal often would change my look or change the color products and kind of use me as her guinea pig, but I wasn't crazy about that. But with Sophia, she lets me keep my same style and color each time I go in. No experiments or switching out products. I love her consistency with always getting it right every time. But I also wanted to say that I find the other stylists in the salon to be quite friendly too. There is always friendly conversation and warm heartedness towards me from them too. I enjoy my time when I'm there. I so appreciate this place. No pretentiousness, fair prices, and excellent services. Also, they're never pushy about selling me products I don't need...but I often DO buy nice products from them since Aveda is one of my faves! Also, I must say that I am super impressed with their mask-on policy where they care about their customers keeping safe from COVID. I know some folks may not like this protocol they still stick with, but I am grateful, as I am a caregiver during the day and need to keep the elders in my life safe. ;-)“
