About Valley Veterinary Hospital

Valley Veterinary Hospital provides compassionate care to pets and their owners. The staff is understanding and empathetic, making patients feel calm and comfortable. They handle anxious pets with care, as seen in the case of a stressed cat who received medication and recovered well. The team is known for its great veterinarians, helpful front staff, and affordable prices. The hospital is walk-in only and operates on a first come, first served basis, which can lead to long wait times, especially if you want to see the doctor quickly. Despite this, the staff is efficient and friendly, and many community members trust the care provided. The hospital is ideal for routine treatments such as flea treatment, rashes, vomiting, and vaccines, with most visits being quick if arriving early. Surgery is usually scheduled on weekends, and calling ahead can help clarify questions about symptoms or costs. While the location is small and can get crowded and loud, the team's dedication and honesty make it a dependable place for pet care. The staff, including the helpful Cheryl, has been trusted for years, making Valley Veterinary Hospital a reliable choice for pet owners.

The wait is long especially if you want to see the doctor. But honestly it's worth the wait. They know what they are doing and the ladies in the front are always so helpful and nice. They have good prices as well. I take my cats here, have received all their treatments/vaccines here.

Pros: Great veterinarians. Great staff. Affordable prices. Most importantly, there's a lot of trust from the community. Cons: small location. will get crowded, loud, and have long wait times. not great for emergencies. Been coming here for years when my Gracie was alive realized I never posted a review. Few things I learned about Valley Vet 1.) It's walk in only and first come first serve basis. They're really efficient so they turnover customers pretty quickly. You have to sign in and wait to be called. Their emphesis on first come first served is enforced by the front staff unless there's an unforseen emergency. 2.) Calling this vet office can get very loud. But if you have specific questions like "should I come in for these symptoms", "how much should i expect for this type of visit", "my dog ate chocolate, should I come in" it's worth a call. 3.) Surgery is generally done on the weekend. There was a time where my gracie had some growths from her ears removed. We always scheduled to come back on the weekend. 4.) This vet is great for common/routine stuff. Flea treatment, rashes, throwing up, and routine shots. We're usually in and out if we come in early enough. But even sometimes if we come early, there might be a line before they open. The doctor is very straight forward to the point. After years of coming to valley vet, I can recognize him if I see him in the streets, restaurants, or at the badminton courts. We never tried to build a friendship-- which turned out fine. He's my vet not my friend and I value this type of relationship. The biggest take away for valley vet is over the years we've gone to different vets. Either because of the hours or the type of emergency services wasn't provided here. What's interesting is that vet visits are strange because if your dog's sick, the dog's not going to tell you what's wrong or what type of sickness they have. Also when doctors take a look, they're using educated guesses. They use their knowledge from previous cases, look at the symtoms, and do tests to confirm their suspecion. Then they prescribe medication to treat the confirmed illness. Theses test can get expensive to confirm suspecion. However, there's been plenty of times where the doc's like, "lets see how Gracie does on these medication" which saves me a ton of money on tests and time for test results to come back. Now, i'm not saying the doc's right 100% of the time he's human and I understand that. But I appreciate him having the confidence to skip tests sometimes and go with his gut. btw if you ever get to meet Cheryl, she's a godsend. Gracie my shih tzu has been coming here since she was a puppy and towards the end of her life. I was happy she was in the hands at the staff of Valley Vet.

I have been coming to Valley Veterinary Hospital for several years now, and I can confidently say it's been a consistently positive experience. Over the years, I've brought three of my beloved dogs here, and each time, the care they received has been exceptional. What stands out to me the most is the trust I have in both the doctor and the staff. They demonstrate a genuine concern for the well-being of my pets, and their expertise is evident in every interaction. While the wait times can occasionally be longer than ideal, I've found the costs here to be more affordable compared to other veterinary hospitals in the area. One of the things I appreciate most is how they always take the time to answer any questions I have about my dogs' health and treatment. Overall, I am grateful to have found such a reliable veterinary hospital for my pets. Thank you, Valley Veterinary Hospital, for your excellent care and dedication to animals!
