Had my haircut here a month ago. I always wait to review because the cut immediately after doesn't always grown in nicely. I relayed what my hair goals were and length, in very broken Chinese and Figo understood the assignment. It also helped that he knew exactly what he was doing. He's been a master stylist for more than 3 decades. Did I love my haircut the moment I walked out? No. But a week later when my haircut started to settle and the layers started to grow in a bit I realized that was the handy work of a really good stylist. All the layers were cut with intent and not butchered with a razor. Figo is a stylist that shapes hair according to the texture, length and movement. Not one that gives a good temporary cut when you walk out but as soon as you wash it becomes unruly. The salon may not be sleek and fancy, but I come for the expertise of a good hair cut. Not for marble floors and fancy lighting. I'll be back here for my next cut.
Went pretty well, had an adorable door greeter hair stylist mostly spoke mandarin but I couldn't , so we talked through Google translate but was able to get my words through. All in al,l while it was a bit pricey, I got exactly the hair cut I wanted and got great service!
I recently got a layered haircut and a hair wash at this salon. My hair was almost shoulder-length before the cut, and the total cost was $65—$35 for the haircut and $30 for the wash. The service was great, and I’m happy with the results, but I do feel it’s a bit on the expensive side.
