Called and made a haircut appointment for 10am on a Saturday. I liked the automated reminders and confirmation of the appointment. When I got there 10 min early, I was asked to sign in and then…nothing. After the third person strolled in and got seated after my appointment time for a haircut I left. Not sure what the point of scheduling an appointment is if you’re just going to ignore the ones that actually bother to show up on time. After 20min sitting on the small bench in the middle of the shop, with no idea when or if they would remember my appointment, I realized my time would be better spent literally anywhere else.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with this salon. I booked an appointment through their website for a wedding hairdo — a very important day — and was required to enter my credit card information to secure the slot. I even received a confirmation and a reminder email, so everything seemed fine.
When I showed up for my appointment, the place was completely shut down. Not just closed for the day — shut down. The windows were dark, the doors locked, and there was a homeless person camped outside. The salon clearly hasn’t been operating for some time, yet somehow it’s still listed as open on Google, and their website is still taking appointments and personal info. This is beyond irresponsible — it’s deceptive.
I called and left a message on their voicemail, but of course never heard back. No apology, no explanation. I was left scrambling around LA, desperately calling every salon I could find until I finally found someone who could fit me in last-minute. It was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable.
Do not trust this place with your time, money, or your special day. The fact that they’re still accepting bookings while being shut down is outrageous. Avoid at all costs.

This is the best hair salon ever! My stylist Derek is awesome. He knows exactly what I’m looking for and cut my hair the way I wanted. He is awesome! I am so glad I found my hair stylist. Oh he also colored my hair and it looks great after the hair dye. I’m overly happy about my whole experience here. I would recommend anyone to go there for the haircut and hair needs.

I will give 2 stars to this place only because the lady who washed my hair did such a great job.
Everything else was just terribly disappointing. I went there for a blow-dry and when I left the salon, my hair was still wet!
I’m also not sure about their work ethics, because I actually went there by mistake. I had made an appointment with Hair Club 20 in Arcadia but went to their location by mistake since the 2 salons have the same name. When I got there, I said “I have an appointment at 5:30pm” and they asked me my name and just told me to have a seat. They didn’t tell me that I didn’t have an appointment with them and it was probably with the other location in Arcadia. Because when the other salon called me to check if I was coming, I realized my mistake and they told me “Oh, don’t worry, it happens all the time.” So, they knew I wasn’t their customer but didn’t say anything.
I called them after I left the salon and told the guy that my hair was still wet after the blow-dry. He told me to come back but I had other plans. So, basically spent $59 (including $9 tip) for a quick shampoo.
Note: I think only one person speaks English here, so if you’re going for a haircut or something more complicated than shampoo, go with a picture or something.

No one can cut my hair the way Gee does. I have super curly hair, and it's really frizzy. Gee was able to design a style so that it's really easy to manage every day. And he also teach me how to take care of my hair to make the fizz go away. Honestly no other hair stylist ever does that and I think he can do all type of hair, give him a try , I guarantee you won't regret it!!

Hair Club 20 treated my wife like royalty, and family. Gee the owner is really involved and is what you can say a perfectionist. My wife's cut was on point and she has been unbelievably happy ever since, we will be back. I think it's worth a try for anyone looking to get their hair done right, "the first time" no regrets.
