Here's the story. I needed a new barber. Called a place in North Beach I've walked by often. Made an appointment and, as with most things these days, got a confirming text with link and profile pic. I learn my prospective barber is named after an Egyptian god of the underworld, has blue hair, and the cut costs $60. That seemed excessive to this Boomer so cancelled & went for a walk.On the way, just outside of Chinatown, I walk by a little hole-in-the-wall, two-chair barber shop on Pacific - "Yong Chang Hair Design". Used to be $6 and now $10 but regardless, about 2.5 to 3.5 times cheaper than other salons and once the lady cutting your hair know the basic about what you want, she does a good job. Same things for my wife who had her correct a so-so haircut from another salon or my 5 years old daughter. It just need to be simple/basic enough to explain or you can have a picture to show it.

I always use them their nice, their not d*** just tell them exactly what you want, I would moist your hair yourself I find it personally helps, every where over charges for gel and simple things I personally saved alot of money bring my own or driving back home and washing it off myself quickly I'm not someone high maintenance, women usually don't review this place to keep it a secret I would think they have better ratings on sites with other languages
