Dr. Chan is good and attentive to my pets. She’s been my numerous pets’ go-to vet since 8 years ago when she was at Balboa Pet Hospital. She knows how to interact with dogs of different temperaments with confidence. I took two stars off because the products (both prescribed monthly preventive pills or non-prescriptive ear flush) are very expensive with a huge price jack-up. For instance the ear flush was only $42 on Amazon and they charged me $72+! Unfortunately my husband bought it from this vet clinic without knowing that we’ve already had a new bottle at home. This is my vet and they’ve been great for the last year!
My only complaint would be that they won’t give a vaccine without a physical, even if my cat has recently had a physical from them.
Great place, I’ve been going here for over 20 years when the previous vet was there. Now I would say think through for yourself if a test or other service is really necessary. Also you cannot be in the exam room with your pet. Big change from previous experiences at the old Sunset vet.
