Quite possibly the worst get manicure I've ever gotten...The manicurist cuts way too much cuticle and skin off. My fingers feel a little sore and they stung after she doused them with alcohol. Once the nails were done, there was gel on my finger tips. I had her remove what I could notice. After the manicure was done, there was no hot towel, lotion or massage. Just more alcohol and cuticle oil. So I was nice and oily on some parts and bone dry on others. There's also a small hair/fiber stuck in my ring fingernail. For $35+tip, I'd expect a little lotion or something. If you want a messy manicure, this is the place for you. I gave 1 star because of the wide selection of colors. 1 star added because I felt bad. Not coming back ever.
This is as small business as you can get. The woman who owns this beauty supply place has suggested something that helped me get my hair frizz under control. You won't be welcome with a red carpet, but I see that expectation as a byproduct if big business, 'customer is always right' and not reality. If you need that this ain't your place but if you want a down to earth hello support this place.
I usually only treat myself to a spa once or twice a year when traveling. There are few things better than being pampered for 2 hours by a beautician who knows what she's doing. Just like restaurants, there are a very few good spas and a lot of bad ones and then there's one that's your favorite. I rarely write reviews but when the service is consistently outstanding, as it's been for me, I have to acknowledge it. Good work and great customer service deserve credit. Thank you, Linda and Bun. I've been a Union Electrician for 30 years so I'm no 'pampered poodle'. I consider my hands and feet my most valuable tools and so I take care of them, actually, I let others, like the beauticians at One Stop, provide the care and they've never let me down. Today I took a date there and she loved it, We'll be back.
