This store was a great help. I needed a new prescription in 3 days and Clara (Klara?) helped me tremendously, even recommending where I could get my eyes measured in San Mateo and sending the finished glasses to San Mateo for me to pick up on the way to the airport! No other glasses store I tried on the Peninsula could pull this off for me.

following my cataract surgery i learned that Medicare benefits entitled me to a pair of eyeglasses free of charge. my ophthalmologist didn't know anything about this, my insurance company pretended the same ignorance and it took me months of pulling teeth just to finally be given the name of Clear Vision Optical. i described my situation to Klara over the phone and finally met with her to choose frames and give her my preferences. she made countless phone calls on my behalf fighting with a number of agents who produced obstacles every step of the way but she was determined to help me with this as if i was an established regular customer although i am nobody special and...read full review

My boyfriend broke their glasses in a way that wasn't repairable. CV was able to salvage the lenses and offer us a replacement frame. We paid $110 for the frame plus labor to alter the lens shape slightly. We were in and out in well under an hour. Disaster averted!
