Animal Care & Emergency Services (ACES) was a reliable 24/7 emergency service for animals in and around the Sunset neighborhood. The entire staff was known for being kind, communicative, and compassionate towards pets. While some reviews mentioned wait times, these were due to the service's triage system, which prioritized true emergencies. Patients received good care, and anxious dogs received special attention. The service was also praised for its trustworthy and caring approach. Unfortunately, the business is no longer in operation, leaving a big gap in the community for families with animals.
I cannot give ACES enough stars, they are fantastic. Dr Maynard is smart, compassionate, kind, and takes the time to explain things in a way that people can understand. My dog was weak and wouldn’t eat or drink and Dr Maynard provided several options for treatment that I could choose from, ranging from conservative to all-in. I asked her what she would do if it her were dog and she told me. I went with what she recommended bc I trust her judgment and knowledge. After some testing, we were able to determine what was wrong and she took the appropriate steps to get my baby back to feeling like a playful, healthy pup. I recommend ACES for all of your veterinary needs. PS - people are brutal to vets, even more so with covid. It’s unacceptable. Vets are not trying to “scam you” or take your money. They are providing a medical service which is costly, just like a medical service for humans would be costly. Get pet insurance, make sure you have the means to care for whatever may come your way with your pet’s health. But whatever you do, don’t blame your vet. They are amazing humans that do an incredibly hard job and get little to no thanks in return. So with that … THANK YOU DR MAYNARD AND ALL THE STAFF AT ACES!!! ❤️❤️❤️
