The communication was clear that they were busy and I did not feel neglected nor did our appointment time run too long. We were still in and out within about 45 minutes for a vet tech visit to get vaccinations for my dog. Shelley, Manny, & Dr. Wilcox are friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. Thank you all. I called this hospital to check the price for my dachshund’s annual exam, and the quote I got was much higher than any other vet I contacted in La Jolla. I called around to compare, and every other clinic was noticeably more reasonable. The person on the phone was polite, but the pricing just didn’t make sense compared to the rest of the area. Based on that alone, I’ll be taking my dog elsewhere.

I have been a loyal fan of Dr. Wilcox for more than five years, following her from clinic to clinic because she is just that incredible. I am over the moon that she now has her gorgeous new pet hospital. Her team is equally wonderful. Huge shoutout to Dr. Wilcox, Shelley, and Manny for always making me and my fur babies feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. Worth every penny, and that is coming from someone who used to drive to MX for vet care. I trust them completely and I am so grateful for this team.

I found Dr. Wilcox when she was at Kearny Mesa Vet after taking him to a different vet 3 times and them never figuring out why his paw was hurting him. She took one look at it, said there was a tumor in his paw and she removed it the next day. After she left Kearny Mesa, I hunted her down in La Jolla because I now trust her implicitly. She really cares about the animals and she really knows her stuff. The entire staff is also great and very caring and patient. They even painted a bunny on a bandage for me once because I asked for a cute bandage. They can always fit me in if it’s important. I’m very excited for them to have a fancy new office with parking!

Our pup fractured his leg in the morning and they were sooo helpful! They took care of him all day and made sure he was comfortable. He is healing now! They even gave him the cutest cast.

I have a difficult 3 legged dog in which Dr Wilcox handled with compassion and expertise. She sat on the floor with him and gained his trust before doing a routine checkup. All the staff is professional and friendly especially Shelley. I highly recommend Dr Wilcox

Dr. Wilcox and her staff are incredibly kind and compassionate. We are visiting from out of town with our dog, Bella. We took Bella to the beach, and she injured her paw, so we walked in to see if they could squeeze us in. Bella is afraid of going to the vet, what pet isn't, but Dr. Wilcox and her staff used what she called "fear free" ways of doing her exam and throughout the treatment. It's been a few days now and Bella is feeling so much better. Our family cannot thank you enough for turning a stressful situation into a good experience.
