I'm not confident of the care as a friend and fellow veteran went to theVA back early in the COVID outbreak. He went in with COVID which they diagnosed positive. They gave him a bottle of peptol bismol and sent him home. I'm happy to say the only thing to come of it was he quit smoking. When I went in it seemed all they wanted to do was give me a shot of the covid vaccine. I haven't went back so Ive gone 4 years now without seeing a Dr.

pretty sure a Veteran can off themselves in the reception area while waiting on the SD VA (Specifically the San Diego system) and their response will be to prescribe Naproxin and tell them to see their primary care (who is the one that sent them there and is also useless) no disrespect to the nurses. . . .you guys are clearly over worked by doctors that are incompetent and a local administration that doesn't give a sh!!. they see 22 a day as a statistic to get more money and not a problem that needs to be fixed

The ambulatory surgical unit (for me) was top notch. They took excellent care of me before, during & after my surgery & they kept my daughter in the loop at all times (one less thing for me to worry about). The unit, my procedure team- my doctor- the chaplain- very awesome! Mahalos! 🤙🏼
