THPHCC is THE BEST VET EVER! our two kitties love the whole staff, and we’ve never felt more taken care of. service is always prompt, thorough, and friendly. the monthly solensia injection has been life changing for our senior girl, and our boy’s latest dental cleaning was so well done — we noticed a difference right away! we also love the post-appointment check in calls from the doctors. I really cannot recommend THPHCC enough!

Torrey Highlands Pet Health has been one of the most frustrating veterinary offices I’ve dealt with. Every interaction feels designed to maximize inconvenience and extra charges rather than help pet owners.
They require physical prescription pickups instead of sending prescriptions directly to pharmacies, which wastes unnecessary time. Communication and flexibility are extremely poor.
Most recently, I was traveling for a few weeks with my English bulldog and forgot his monthly Simparica Trio dose at home. I still had a valid prescription and only needed a short refill to get through the trip. Even though my dog is indoors almost all day, only goes outside briefly, and has no history of heartworms, the office refused to provide even a temporary refill because he is due for his annual heartworm test in two weeks when we return home.
Instead of working with us reasonably, they chose rigid policy over patient care and left my dog without protection unnecessarily. I have never experienced this level of inflexibility and poor customer service with any other vet clinic.
There are plenty of veterinary offices that are more accommodating, compassionate, and easier to work with. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Torrey Highlands Pet H.C. Center is an excellent veterinary! All the folks are friendly and very professional. It feels like home away from home when we visit. They all care deeply about our doggie Skuch. They are all great and out special favorite is Jenna, what a delight!

Dr. Wood is simply the best. Easy to get in. An honest and realistic vet is hard to find. I totally trust he has his clients best interest at heart and isn't just trying to constantly sell services.

Dr. Varagic has been taking care of our two cats for a few years now. He, Jenna, and all the other staff we've met have been wonderful. I'm super grateful for them! They always communicate really well, take time to answer questions, and manage to fit us in if one of that cats isn't feeling well. They're pretty good at calming the cats down (and me too, honestly). Highly recommend.

I have had pets all my life and have been to many vets. Most of the vets I’ve had are great, but this vet clinic goes so beyond great, it’s like nothing I have ever experienced. It is such an amazing, welcoming, compassionate environment.

My dog and cat have both had some health issues, so we have been there quite a bit this year. Dr. Mark ALWAYS takes time to explain everything and has so much empathy and compassion. He is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. Jenna at the front is so kind and friendly. The veterinary assistants are so sweet and gentle with my pets.

Even when I got some bad news about my cat, Maggie, I didn’t feel alone. I felt they were hurting right along with me. It’s rare to find that type of humanity in business. I can’t praise this clinic enough.

Dr. Wood is an exceptional veterinarian whose knowledge, thoroughness, and compassion are unmatched. He took the time to fully understand my pet’s history, carefully reviewing every detail before making decisions. His expertise is remarkable — far beyond many so-called “experts” I’ve encountered — and I always felt she was receiving the highest level of care.

When my pet suddenly became ill, Dr. Wood made sure she could be seen immediately, and I will always be grateful for that. In such a difficult and emotional time, he and his wonderful wife, Jenna, along with their friendly, caring staff, treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. Their warmth and professionalism made an incredibly hard experience a little easier to bear. I deeply appreciate everything they did for both my pet and me.

We’re so grateful for Torrey Highlands pet health care center! Jenna at the front is amazing, both Dr. Woods and Dr. Varagic are great and Cassie is awesome with our girl Millie. We’ve had emergencies come up multiple times and we can always count on their quality care and prompt response. I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a good veterinarian in the area.

Everyone here, from reception to the doctors, is outstanding at their job, creating a calm environment for pets and owners alike. They were able to see my dog immediately with no appointment, and they took amazing care of her. Big thanks to Dr. Wood, Dr. Varagic, and their wonderful assistants for all their compassion and help!

I highly recommend this practice! They were so friendly, and caring. I was able to get my sick cat in the same day. I did not feel pressured to spend more than what was reasonable for her diagnosis. I will be using them for all of my pets in the future. Thank you to this great team for taking good care of my Launi! 😻
